September 6, 2011 Sept Board Meeting
* SEPTEMBER 6, 2011 The regular monthly meeting of Stubbs Town Board was held on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall. All members were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was given.' Minutes were approved on motion by Zak/Taylor. Financial Report was approved on motion by Zak/Taylor. Current bills were audited and ordered paid on motion by Zak/Taylor. PUBLIC INPUT; Bob Lorkowski mentioned that the Amacoy Property Owners Ass'n. has received grant money to assist with weed control in the lake. Bassmasters and WRA will also be asked to assist. The Board opened bids on $3,000 yds. of gravel. Hopkins bid $6.15 per yd. and Olynick bid $7.38 per yd. Zak moved and Taylor seconded to accept Hopkins bid. Motion passed. * The proposed budget for the Bruce Area Library was discussed. There is an increase of about 1\% over last year. Motion by Zak/Taylor to approve the budget passed. Chairman Dixon presented a copy of the plan for the 2 new wells the Village of Weyerhaeuser has put in. Motion by Zak/Taylor to go into closed session for considering employment, compensation, promotion or performance evaluation of public employee, Wis. Statute 19.85 (1) (C). Roll call vote: Taylor, yes; Zak, yes; Dixon, yes. Motion by Zak/Taylor to go into open session. Zak moved that a certified letter should be sent to Larry Pedersen, assessor, asking for a list of premises visited in 2011 and classification comparisons for 2010-11 as agreed upon. Taylor seconded. Motion passed. Zak asked for comments on a proposed newsletter to be sent to taxpayers. * Dixon mentioned we've had several road signs stolen lately. Next meeting will be held on Oct. 3, 2011 at 7 p.m. Motion to adjourn by Zak/Dixon at 8:05 p.m.
