Town of Stubbs The Stubbs Town Board held their regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct 5, 2015 at the Town Hall. All members were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was given. Minutes were approved on motion by Taylor/Lieffring. Financial Report was approved on motion by Lieffring/Taylor. Current bills were audited and ordered paid on motion by Taylor/Lieffring. An offer was made on several used culvers. Taylor moved and Lieffring seconded that a notice be place on the Town Website that the town would accept bids for 2 weeks on used culverts and used road signs. Motion passed. Bids were opened on snowplowing driveways. Eric Falstad bid was approximately $20 per driveway (varying by length) with a 2015 Chev pickup--he has Progressive Ins. Tom Atwood bid $22 per friveway with a 2001Chev pickup--he carries special snowplowing insurance. Motion by Taylor/Lieffring to accept Atwood's bid carried. The proposed Bruce Library Budget was approved on motion by Lieffring/Taylor. Lieffring reported that Governor Walker's budget has produced a large cut in funding for recycling. Taylor moved that beginning January 1, 2016 our recycling center will be open from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. rather than 3 p.m.--a reduction of 2 hours. Seconded by Zak. Lieffring voted no. Motion carried. The status of ATV routes will remain the same at this time. The Board worked on a preliminary budget to be proposed at the budget hearing on November 2. Next meeting, including budget and tax levy meetings, will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 7 p.m. Motion to adjourn at 8:20 by Taylor/Lieffring passed.
