MAY 5, 2008
The regular monthly meeting of Stubbs Town Board was held on Monday,
May 5, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall. All members: were present.
Minutes were approved on motion by Lieffring/Zak. Financial Report
was approved on motion by Zak/Lieffring.
Current bills were audited and ordered paid on motion by
Zak/Lieffring.
Dixon reported an estimate for fencing the Apollonia Cemetery in the
amount of $1,450.  Motion to purchase the fence by Zak/Lieffring
passed.  Also an estimate for rain gutters and downspouts for the town
hall in the amount of $295. was approved on motion by Zak/Lieffring.
Art Dixon was appointed as Highway Superintendent for Town of
Stubbs.
Road projects for 2008 were discussed.  The Town will do 1 mile of
blacktop rather than the 2 miles previously proposed. Right-of-Way Rd.
will be done from Co. Hwy. F to Daniels and from Co. Hwy. F to
Rouleau's.  Lieffring suggested that this work does not need to be put
up for bids.  There were comments from several persons that the Town
should definitely bid this work.  Taylor suggested that the Board
should set a minimum amount for jobs that need to be put out on bids.
Motion was  made by Zak/Dixon to bid the blacktop project (at an
approximate cost of $63,000 for blacktop and shoulders). Motion passed
with Lieffring dissenting.  Gravel for Hubbard Rd. will be placed on
the agenda next month.
Dixon reported that a $750,000 grant has been applied for
to be used through Block Grants for improvements and building.
Discussion of the Amacoy culverts and property will be placed on the
agenda for next meeting as well as a discussion of a campgroung permit
application submitted by Bob Lorkowski.
Next meeting will be held on June 2 at 7 p.m. Motion to adjourn at
'f: 30 by Lief f ring/Zak passed.
