May 4, 2015

The Stubbs Town Board met on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 7 p.m. at the Town
Hall.  All members were present.

The Pledge of Allegiance was given.

Minutes were approved on motion by Lieffring/Taylor.

Financial Report was approved on motion by Lieffring/Taylor.

Current bills were audited and ordered paid on motion by
Taylor/Lieffring.

Bids for gravel for River Rd. were opened: Antczak bid $9.13 per yd.:
Hopkins bid $8.74 per yd.: Olynick $10.18 per yd.: Rusk Co. Hwy. Dept
$13.55 per yd. Motion by Taylor/Lieffring to accept Hopkins bid
passed. Bids for shouldering were Antczak $20.90 per yd.: Olynick
$20.18 per yd.: Rusk Co. $29.72 per yd. Motion by Lieffring/Taylor to
accept Olynick bid passed.  Bids for shouldering--only one bid by
Monarch for  $11,485.76 was accepted on motion by Lieffring/Taylor.
Paving bids were Monarch $65.64 per ton and Rusk Co. $74.45 per ton.
Motion by Taylor/Lieffring to accept Monarch bid passed. Plans are to
begin work the latter part of June.

Public comment: The matter of inspection of the Martindale property
was brought up and the Chairman explained that inspections are only
done on new buildings and not on remodeling projects. Zak thanked
Craig and Alex for cleaning up the property on the North side of the
hall. Olesiak mentioned the Ranch Rd. needs gravel. The culvert on N.
Hutchinson Rd. is in very bad condition--Waste Man. has engaged Russ
Thompson to replace it at their expense.

Zak discussed the re-certification of the "tubes" which have been
designated as a levee and the need for re-certification. Motion by
Lieffring/Taylor to contact the engineer and begin the first step
passed.

Motion to engage Dan Thole to conduct an audit town books
Taylor/Lieffring passed.

Stanley Moore will not be able to work at the recycling center any
more--Dewayne Kiddy will cover his time through the summer. The Town
will be looking for someone to work with Gary Anderson on crack
sealing. Motion by Taylor/Lieffring to purchase a blower for crack
sealing passed. 

A suggestion was made that Stop and Stop Ahead signs need to be
replace. Money left from the grant after replacing road signs will be
used for this.

Next meeting will be held on Monday, June 1 at 7 p.m.

Motion to adjourn by Taylor/Lieffring at 7:45 passed.
