JUNE 2, 2008 The Stubbs Town Board held its regular monthly meeting at the , Town Hall on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 7 p.m. All members were present. Minutes were approved on motion by Lieffring/Zak. Financial Report was approved on motion by Zak/Lieffring. Bills were audited and ordered paid on motion by Zak/Lieffring. Public Participation included comments by Joe Perlongo on removal of unsightly buildings. There were comments concerning the Town land by the Amacoy tubes. Dixon explained it is necessary to cross land owned by Dan Ruiter in order to get to the Chippewa River (he owns everything past the white stakes).and he will prosecute anyone who trespasses. Steve Brockman mentioned that as long as you follow along the waterline of the outlet stream you cannot be kept off the property. Several people suggested that the Town not sell our property at this time and that if the land is ever sold it should be put on bids. Dixon explained that Dan Ruiter wishes %to purchase 2-3 acres of the Town land at a price of $1 so he will have access to his property on the river. Dixon said the land is public and he can use it for access. Ruiter was not present at the meeting. Zak mentioned that this indicated a-lack of interest at this time, He strongly recommended that the Town not sell this land now or at any time in the future. Should the Town ever need to repair or replace the tubes we will need this room to do so. Zak moved that the Town not sell to Ruiter, Lieffring seconded, and the motion passed. "BTacKtopping and Shouldering bids were opened as follows: Rusk Co. Highway Dept.--Blacktop $48.17 per ton total 57,400 Shouldering 14.06 per ton-4,300 Allied Blacktop—Blacktop 58.56 per ton total 70,799 Shouldering 19.14 per ton total 4,200 Monarch Paving—Blacktop 46.22 per ton total 56,000 Shouldering 11.07 per ton 3,482 Olynick—Shouldering 17.00 per ton Motion by Zak/Lieffring to accept Rusk Co. Highway bid passed. Bob Lorkowski's application for a land use permit for a 32-site RV Park was changed to include motor operated boats. Motion by Lieffring/Zak to deny the application passed. Motion was made by Lieffring/Zak to adopt the previously sub¬mitted Public Participation Plan. Motion passed. Liquor Licenses for Wonderspot, Amacoy Golf and Supper Club, and F& 8 Bar were approved on motion by Zak/Lieffring. Larry Pedersoa submitted a proposal to reassess Town of Stubbs next year for $5,000. Motion by Zak/Lieffring to accept this proposal passed. It was suggested that a sign by put up at the boat landing by the dumpster since people are using it for private dumping. It is exclusively for boat landing refuse only.
