JULY 7, 2014 The regular monthly meeting of Stubbs Town Board was held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall. All members were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was given. Minutes were approved on motion by Zak/Taylor. Financial Report was approved on motion by Zak/Taylor. Current bills were audited-and ordered paid on motion by Zak/Taylor. Public Comment: Alex Kotulski asked that new blades for the mower be ordered. Taylor discussed a problem with a German Shepherd dog belonging to Jennifer Radzak. She has agreed to keep the dog on a leash. He also had a question about our contract with Waste Man. He suggested that the floor and walls of the sand shed should be seal-coated, which has already been done. Discussion on dumping of trash on town roads. Alex and Lynne Wierzba have picked up 11 tires on Amacoy Lk. Rd. and hauled them to the landfill. Steve Golat asked the Board to approve a sand pit on Sand Hill Rd. on property belonging to Shane Trott. Rusk Co. Zoning will hold a hearing on July 8. Zak moved to approve the pit as long as there are no objections—Taylor seconded--tnotion passed. Road Projects: Arian Knops, supervisor for Town of Atlanta/ presented an agreement between Stubbs and Atlanta for maintenance on Tyman Rd. which the Board signed. Dixon reported we can't do repair work on ,Rt.-of-Way Rd. with Big Bend because there is aproblem with diverting run-off water on Jim Dusza'a property. Blacktopping on Stiles Rd. will begin next week. Taylor suggested a curve as alternative to a stop sign on Stiles/Norwegian Rd. intersection. Itwas decided it's too late to undertake such an extensive change. Rusk Co. will soon begin work on sections of River.Rd. Dixon has appled for a 50% cost-sharing with Rusk Co. on the culvert on AnnieHuiras1 driveway. Hubbard Rd.also needs 2 culverts replaced. Discussion on fireworks permits—a $25 permit is required by Wis. law. Also a new law will require farmers to obtain permits starting this fall from all municipalities whose roads they use for machinery. Next meeting will be held on Monday August 4 at 7 p.m. Board of Review is scheduled for July 24, 2014. Motion by Zak/Taylor to adjourn at 7:55 passed.
