FEBRUARY 4, 2008 The regular monthly meeting of stubbs Town board was called to order on Monday, February 4, 2008 at the Town Hall. All members were present. Minutes were approved on motion by Lieffring/Zak. Financial Report was approved on motion by Lieffring/Zak. Current bills were reviewed. It was decided to hold the Rusk Co. Highway bill uuntil later. Bills were ordered paid on motion by Zak/Lieffring. There was no public comment. Art Dixon moved to approve the Ordinance For Regulation of Use of Properties , Lyle seconded, and motion passed* Dixon discussed the cell phones in the trucks and grader which have become obsolete and proposed that the town purchase service from Alltel (who will provide the phones) for 15* per minute. He stressed the need for*phones during severe weather. Motion was made and passed by Zak/Lieffring to purchase service from Alltel. Also the need for a landline phone at the Town Hall was discussed. Installation for 2 phones (1 for the shop and 1 for the office) would be $47 and the. monthly charge would be $22.85. Motion was made by Zak/Lieffring and passed to have 2 phones installed. Discussion on the Amacoy tubes was tabled since the survey is not finished. There was discussion on the Town Website. The Town is having a Website designed by Sown Web Design, Inc. It will be necessary to ascertain how the Town will be able to keep the Website current. There is still planning to be done. Dixon discussed the need for a speaker system. He has priced one at $460. Comments from the group were in favor of the system. Motion was made and passed by Lieffring/Zak to purchase a system. The Board agreed to appoint 5 persons to the Elections Board for the February 19 Presidential Primary. Waste Management has requested that Town of stubbs allow them to place a dumpster at the Recycling Center on Saturdays. They would pay Stubbs $150 per month which could be used to raise salaries for Stan Moore and Joe Perlongo. Next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on March 3. Motion to adjourn by Lieffring/Zak at 7:40 p.m.
