The Stubbs Town Board held the regular monthly meeting on Monday, August 3, 2015 at the Town Hall at 7:00 p.m.. All members were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was given. Two items from the July minutes were amended as follows: Paragraph 6 the board added the following: The lower cost option to repair Kief Road was chosen and that it will be completed in two phases over two years. A motion by Taylor/Lieffring to make the change was made and passed. Paragraph 7 the board added the following to clarify their agreement: Kahn Road will be maintained by the Town of Stubbs from Highway 8 to the electric box, approximately .25 miles. Beyond that point maintenance will be Mr. Kahn's responsibility. Therefore, any maintenance work the Town does on Kahn Road beyond the electrical box, Mr. Kahn will need to reimburse the Town for the costs. The Town will also be allowed to use Mr. Kahn's property to turn around on any equipment used to maintain the road. A motion by Taylor/Lieffring to make the change was made and passed. Minutes were approved on motion by Lieffring/Taylor. Financial Report was approved on motion by Taylor/Lieffring. Current bills were ordered paid on motion by Taylor Lieffring. A $50 donation to the County Edge Program was approved on motion by Taylor/Lieffring. Mr. Zak stated that he received a notice from the State that the culvert on South Hutchinson Road located at the Soft Maple Creek will need to be replace in four years at an estimated cost of $400,000. The Town will be responsible for 10% of the cost. The Town will budget $10,000 each year for the next 4 years to cover the cost when the work is completed. The board stated that fill on the shoulder of River road was needed. A motion by Taylor/Lieffring to order the fill was made and passed. Mr. Zak informed the board that if the Town receives Rusk County Culvert aid, the Town is not obligated to use the county to install the culvert and that the Town can bid the job. The board agreed that the mowing of roads will be split between Kotulski and Wester. Each will be given 25 miles to mow. Mr. Lieffring will make up a schedule as too who mows which road. Mr. Zak wants to discuss private driveway plowing at the September board meeting. He will put a notice in the paper for two weeks prior to the meeting that the policy will be discussed at that time. Next meeting will be held on September 14, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Motion to adjourn by Taylor/Lieffring at 8:25 p.m. passed.
