AUGUST 1, 2011 The regular monthly meeting of Stubbs Town Board was held on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall. All members were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was given. Minutes were approved on motion by Zak/Taylor. Financial Report was approved on motion by Zak/Taylor. Current bills were approved on motion by Zak/Taylor. PUBLIC INPUT; Lyle Lieffring criticized the Board because the stop sign at the intersection of Norwegian and Tyman Roads was obscured and caused an accident in which a person was injured. Chairman Dixon stated that the sign was not completely obscured and the party that caused the accident was cited for inattentive driving. He mentioned that too many people simply pay no attention to stop signs. Road work was discussed. Culverts on River Rd. and Kief Rd. are completed. Striping has been done on 7.3 miles of road, the remainder to be done next year. Ditching and gravelling will be done on Rt.-of-Way Rd. and Hubbard Rd. Motion was made to advertise for bids on 3 to 4,000 yds. of gravel by Zak/Taylor. Motion passed. Policy on snowplowing was discussed. Suggestion was made that only seniors who reside in the town should be plowed at no cost. Dixon suggested a Newsletter be sent to everyone including policy changes on snowplowing. Next meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m. Meeting adjourned at 7:39 p.m. on motion by Zak/Dixon.
