APRIL 7, 2008 The regular monthly meeting of Stubbs Town Board was held on Monday, April 7, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall. All members were present. Minutes were approved on motion by Lieffring/Zak. Financial Report was approved on motion by Zak/Lieffring. Current bills were audited and ordered paid on motion by Zak/Lieffring. Motion was made by Lieffring/Zak to honor a request to replace a post and gate at the Appolonia Cemetery. The Chairman reported the surcharge from Waste Management will be $32,700 compared to $59,900 last year. He suggested that the Town defer blacktopping Pleasant Ridge Road until next year and instead blacktop both ends of Rt.-of-Way Road in 2008. Motion by Zak/Lieffring to that effect passed. Board of Review will be held on May 2Q from 6-8 p.m. with open book from 4-5 p.m. The Weyerhaeuser School plans to do a study in order to determine their plans for the future at a cost of $10,000 to $20,000. They have requested a contribution from the Town towards this cost. Art and Jim both did not recommend that the Town become involved. Motion by Zak/Lieffring to decline the request was passed. The school may have another referendum election in May. Bob Lorkowski suggested that the Boardplace on their future agenda a further discussion and reconsideration of his application for a campground permit. Joe Perlongo requested an explanation why the order for Duane Taylor to remove certain dilapidated buildings issued in 2004 has not been complied with. He would like a letter from the Board within 5 days explaining why the buildings have not been removed. Perlongo presented letters from Kathy Mai and Walt Good to the Co. Corporate Counsel ordering the buildings to be removed. The Town Board never received copies of those letters.Dixon will take this matter up with Kayo Nash, the Co. Health Nurse. Dixon asked Taylor why the buildings have not been removed He said there are various state restrictions and the problem is pending. The survey on the property at the Amacoy tubes still has not been completed. It was agreed that the Board and the surveyor and ban Ruiter must meet and have this issue resolved. Next meeting will be held on May 5 and the June meeting will be held on May 30. Motion to adjourn by Zak/Lieffring at 7:40 p.m.
